Play Bass Blues With Soulful Technique, the Freedom to Fully Express Yourself, and Gain Mastery of the Instrument Like It's Embedded in Your Brain.

I'm going to quote Albert Einstein here because . . .

1) It makes me feel smart.

2) It can make a huge difference in your playing.

"Problems cannot be solved by the same level of thinking that created them".

The problem that keeps a lot of musicians from getting where they want to be is found in playing (and thinking) at the same level they were at last month- or last year for that matter. Don't let that be you.

Life's too short to figure out all the riffs on your own, and the funny thing is when your bass blues is better, you'll find your overall ability gets better too. That's because blues is universal, and in many ways a pathway that spreads into the realm of rock, jazz, and other forms of music.

Whether you're learning how to walk the bass or still crawling, there's no substitute for classic resources that will push you past barriers.

Adding versatility to your ability equates to more joy and freedom in your playing. Obviously, that will have huge impact on listeners too.

Would you agree? Then it's time to get SERIOUS.  Find out what's it's like to PLAY in a way your musical gut is telling you is possible!

Spend some musical "smart time" that moves your bass guitar mastery over the top and don't ever let yourself feel stuck with tired old patterns.

Let at least one of the DVD's above be the thing that moves your playing to a whole new level.

Lesser bass players might ignore this kind of message and bounce around mediocre-ville for too many years.

Fine. Let them.

Question is- THIS MOMENT, are YOU going where you want with that fine instrument we know as the bass guitar?

If that's beyond where you are now, take some kind of ACTION that the wannabees won't, and notice (without judgment) when they're cool with spending the same small amount on a lunch or two.

I don't mean to offend, but rather stir up and provoke the musical greatness that is probably already inside or you wouldn't still be here.

Years ago I heard a mentor of mine say every time one chooses to take a forward-producing action that the majority won't, it's another thing that separates you from the pack and enjoying results of excellence. I don't remember the exact words but the idea stuck with me- and it made a difference. I hope it will with you too.

Want to learn bass blues and develop your style and riffs to the point where you drop the limitations and really enjoy your playing more?  Then I invite you to DO something about it by getting the resource that seems to fit you best.

-From Tim Hillwood. I'm an accomplished guitarist and composer who was told would never play well, first by a close big brother figure when I was a year into it, and then in 93' a serious falling accident left my fretting hand mutilated. (Pun intended but true). That ordeal eventually turned into an instrumental acoustic CD entitled Venture Out.

I also appreciate bass players and jam with a great one every week in a more electric band called Ethospire out of St. Louis, MO.  If you're not at that level yet, "see" it for yourself. Believe it. Act on it. Keep moving past the edge of your musical comfort zone and the space will grow larger. Make that a habit and time will be your friend. I'm pulling for you.

If this website had a positive impact on you, (as is my intention) send a line or two to let me know you're taking SOME kind of action. It matters to me. My email - timhillwood@gmail.com

In that sense, it doesn't matter if you're into blues, jazz or Guns n' Roses music If you're going to get where you want, you'll need to do what most wannabees won't, and that means learning from a master.
